TAILS receives no government funding. We rely on support from our community to continue providing our life-saving services. Thank you.
Your gifts help us carry out our mission in many ways:
-
$1,000 feeds all the animals in the shelter for a month
-
$500 feeds all the dogs in the shelter for a month or provides medical care for a special needs animal
-
$250 allows TAILS to spay and neuter a litter of kittens prior to adoption
-
$100 pays for food, vaccines, and medicines for a litter of rescued puppies or for microchipping 20 pets before adoption
-
$50 allows us to rehabilitate and release two litters of orphaned wild animals
-
$35 covers the cost of spaying a cat and preventing future unwanted litters or allows us to provide a free routine veterinary checkup for a homebound Meals on Wheels client’s pet
-
$25 pays for the care of one adult cat for a week
TAILS appreciates all gifts and we use them wisely for maximum effectiveness.

Help us build our endowment!
John and Nancy Castle have generously created an endowment for TAILS through the DeKalb County Community Foundation. A gift to this endowment is a gift to the future of TAILS Humane Society. The DeKalb County Community Foundation or TAILS' Executive Director will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this type of gift.
